Valentine’s Day: A Moment to Reflect upon Divine Love

Valentine’s Day: A Moment to Reflect upon Divine Love

In eternity, the beam of your beauty shined the manifestation
Love appeared and set aflame the world’s whole narration

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the lovers in the world, whose chests are replete with love (Eshgh), this divine bounty has given warmth to their hearts, and they also bestow warmth on the lives of others. Without love (Eshgh), human being certainly could not attain such a lofty position. As the only being in this majestic cosmos who understands and realizes love (Eshgh) is humankind. This occasion offers an opportunity to learn more about the role of love (Eshgh) in the majesty of human existence and to think more about the creative power of the Creator of love (Eshgh), and to know that the love (Eshgh) that happens at this stage without our authority, decision, or  choice, to be experienced by us, is at the lowest level of earthliness; so how glorious love (Eshgh) might be in the higher worlds, is a matter worth pondering.

It should be noted that Eshgh (love) is a concept without any opposite. {Given that “all things in their opposites appear, but God has no like or peer[1], some may assume that Eshgh also has an opposite, and that is “hatred”. However, it is a rational phenomenon “to hate”, and it is the opposite of “to like”, which is also a rational phenomenon, and for the occurrence of these two, free will, choice, reason and proof, which are rational matters, are necessary. But Eshgh, different from “like” and “hate”, is not a rational phenomenon and its occurrence and timing are not at our will and there is no opposite to it. In other words, Eshgh in itself is either there or it is not, i.e., it is either zero or (+1) and Eshgh does not have (-1). Whereas “to like” and “to hate” can be (+1), (0), and (-1), in which, in this example, to like is (+1) and to hate is (-1), and the absence of the two is (0). Therefore, we call Eshgh divine because it does not have an opposite, like God (but God has no like or peer) and its experience and occurrence are predestined.

In addition, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all my dear friends and companions who send their kind messages on the occasion of this day or other occasions, and I apologize in advance if I fail to respond due to the large number of messages.
