The Transitional Council: Necessities and Challenges
In the Name of God
Greetings and respect to the noble nation of Iran
With regard to the Transitional Council
Hereby, I express my condolences to the bereaved families who lost their dear ones in the 12-day war, stand in solidarity with the great nation of Iran and our dear compatriots, and announce my request to defend and protect the interests of our beloved nation and country of Iran as follows:
– Holding a public referendum to recognize the rights of the noble nation of Iran to be restored and protected through the election of a neutral and completely impartial Transitional Council that does not have any claim to seize political power (because in this case, the Transitional Council will be guided towards the realization of their desire to ascend to the throne of power) in order to determine the type of management system for the country’s administration in the first step, and then, once the type of country’s management system is determined, to draft a constitution based on it by elite legislators who are reliable and trusted by the people.
– Supporting all political, security and conscience prisoners and demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
– Condemning the political regimes that are lifelong and inhumane, coup d’état-based and dependent on foreigners.
– Supporting a unified Iran and condemning any separatism and divisiveness, which is a common way of crushing the authority of a country.
– Opposing any claim to leadership and supremacy over the great Iranian nation, as from now on this oppressed nation will hire competent managers to run the country and will never again need a leader or so.
It should be noted: While we respect and support all movements that are taking action to hold the referendum and the Transitional Council and the path of struggle they have taken, we also call on them to avoid any ambiguity so that different diversities of people can declare their support in full awareness. Otherwise, the existence of any ambiguity can deprive them of the necessary and sufficient support and we ourselves will remain undecided. For example:
- What kind of government is meant by “a national government” [a nation-state]?
- What does it mean to convene a “Constituent Assembly” at this stage, and before the referendum, to determine the type of management system in the country? Because until the government system is determined, writing a constitution makes no sense.
- Has this council made a decision and nominated itself to take power for a democratic transition, which means realizing democracy, before the people vote, to determine the type of government? In that case, this transition will not be democratic, and if it has not yet decided and is impartial, why does it not announce it as so? In that case, what will be the mechanism?
- Is this a reformist movement or a radical and fundamental one? If it is fundamental, in what way and how?
- How is it possible to implement this referendum at this time?
- …
In addition: I presented a path of peaceful struggle in such circumstances several years ago when I was in prison, that is “the Renunciation of Citizenship from the Islamic Republic Regime of Iran.” In this way, which has been proposed for the first time in the history of political struggles, the nation can declare its non-subordination to the system through a petition, and as a result, the regime will be delegitimized, and the supervision of this petition and its outcome will be entrusted to the relevant international circles so that the regime’s claim to be the representative of the nation and the legitimacy it maintains for itself will be effectively destroyed. This is the first step towards proving the unpopularity of the system so that the nation can subsequently achieve its rightful rights in the next steps. What is certain is that a lifelong regime will never submit to holding a referendum and will never be willing to step down. In particular, as long as it considers itself the representative of the nation, it will introduce the disgruntled group as a bunch of saboteurs, rioters, and foreign agents. And…
